How do I register for a trip?
You can book a trip by filling in the form at the right hand side of every trip page. I’ll get in touch with you to confirm details of your reservation and find out about any particular interests or needs you’ll have on the trip. I also ask for billing information. So for example, if you’ve made a reservation for 4 people, that’s when you can ask me to bill you together or separately.
How does payment work?
I use PayPal to send you a bill by email. You can then pay using a PayPal account or a credit card. I ask for a 50% deposit up front with the remainder to be paid 75 days prior to the trip.
Is every tour a guaranteed departure?
No, tours only depart if enough travelers sign up to make the trip viable. If you express interest in a tour that is not yet guaranteed, I let you know before finalizing your reservation. If a trip is not guaranteed 75 days before departure, it may be cancelled. In this case I’d return your money and offer you $100 off your next trip. This is my way of acknowledging any inconvenience the cancellation caused you.
What if I need to cancel my trip after I’ve already paid for it?
Your payment, including the deposit, is fully refundable up to 75 days prior to the trip. After that, I handle refunds on a case-by-case basis. I aim to refund whatever I can while covering any costs I incur as a result of the late cancellation.
What happens after I purchase the trip?
I’ll be in touch with you periodically for housekeeping, such as confirming your flight details or verifying any dietary restrictions. Then, ten days before the tour, I send you an information packet to get you oriented for the trip.
